Last week we hosted some groups from the elementary school in Etyek again given that the project activities have been relocated to Szatyor instead of the school.
With the spring coming we taught the kids how to make some Bee Hotels with very few materials, up cycling some metallic cans and using dried reed from the nearby lake.
We took the opportunity to teach them about the solitary bees and why it is important to protect them and create bee friendly habitats. We also tested their knowledge on pollination with a few questions and explanation.
It was great for us to combine the Fülemüle and Szatyor projects into this activity focused on nature and our environment, especially in such a nice spring weather!
