REVIVE

The continuation of the Oázis project in 2023 is the Manas Garden/REVIVE project located at the former campsite and holiday village in Lengyeltóti-Kéktó. Our goal from last year remains unchanged: to transform the now forgotten and dilapidated holiday village into a bustling festival center, a permaculture educational site, and a vibrant community sanctuary where participants can connect with nature, each other, and themselves. Building on last year's experiences, the Szatyor Association was pleased to continue the collaboration with Manas Garden.

**The volunteers participated in the following activities:**
- Building a mandala bed: weaving and wattle and daub, filling, planting, and setting up an irrigation system
- Constructing a wattle and daub wall for the chicken palace: covering the structure with chicken wire, mixing clay, and daubing the walls
- Cleaning and planting the garden pond
- Creating festival decorations: making mushroom lamps, tulle flowers, and painting lanterns
- Cooking for the community
- Cleaning common areas and living spaces

Based on last year's experiences, this year we involved a facilitator and an extra construction manager. They helped integrate the group through daily check-ins and check-outs, managing emotional difficulties and conflicts, as well as planning, distributing, and executing the work. The facilitator helped smooth out differences in work culture between various nationalities. Their role was important in helping everyone find their own inner emotional stability, thereby creating a supportive team. According to the feedback, participants felt very free and safe. They learned to accept themselves better through the community's supportive power.

The 3-week event involved 15 volunteers from 7 countries: Spain, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Romania, the Netherlands, and Morocco.
